"Retreat" option bug.

Postby Deek » Wed Jun 18, 2003 4:49 pm

If you are in an area and attack a creature and another creature attacks, and you have the "Retreat" option on, clicking to retreat does nothing and you end up having to fight that creature.

Noticed this twice now, in the woods with the bears and armodillios, and in the dungeons with the zombies.

*edit*

Also noticed you can pick up items and then still retreat on... surely if you pick up the item on the floor you should get attacked by the waiting monsters?

Doh, I understand what you mean with the picking items up. I will fix promptly.

What I think you mean for the retreat option is if you retreat into an area with monsters, you can't retreat again. Right now thats true, I may be looking into the possibility of extending this depth. This is basicly a one shot get out of jail free card. If you don't like one fight you have to choose whatever was behind you. If you dont' like that part, you're conveniently transported to your tie point :)

No probs...

Good idea about going back to the tie point... makes people think, especially if they have had a hard battle getting to where they currently are... Do you battle the monsters, or go right back to the tie point! :)
