Poultry farm, farmyard

Postby Siame » Thu Apr 20, 2006 5:53 pm

Just a suggestion, not sure if it's been posted yet...

Before you is a small farm, judging by the coupes it must have been a poultry farm, but has long since been abandoned. To the east you can see the mills of Milltown in the distance. To the north is what appears to be a small farmhouse, to the south there is a pond shrouded in cattails, and to the west there appears to be a pen of sorts.

Unless you are speaking of a new type of conveyance, maybe it should be coops, and not coupes.

Again, just a suggestion...

The beach- Dweller dungeon

The tunnel opens into a large chamber here, with exits to the each direction. The walls are smoothed to a fine texture, and the trims of the walls and doors are set with polished mother of pearl and bone inlays. A large chandelier type device hangs from the ceiling. Constructed of a conglomeration of polished bones and seashells it the chandelier supports four glass bowls on the tips, in each bowl is a single fish that glows with radiance brighter than that of a torch. Although this room is highly lit the tunnel stretching outward from it don't seem to be lit very much past this room.

Maybe it should be it doesn't seem to be lit much.

Just a thought....

The Rocky Tunnel Underground

You can follow the tunnel to the west or to the south.

You can't. You can go West or North..

And another one that claims you can move 'You can follow the tunnel to the north or to the south.'

You can only go North and East at this particular section

As it says to the left......I talk WAY too much. ;)
And yes, I am fully aware that currently it says so to the right, rather than the left, which used to be the location for said line, but I am simply too lazy to change it for you.

Over time, this area has been made into a sort of magma cavern. Smoke billows from some vents in the corner. The magma flow has cut off the north and east exits. To the south , north and east the cavern continues. To the west is the hall where you fell into.

Mineshaft

The miners must have worked in dreary conditions as your eyes take a moment to acclimate to the darkness.

Unless this is another Americanisation and considered acceptable, I think it should be 'acclimatise.'

---

No, that is 100% alright. In fact, in the dictionary I looked up 'acclimatize' in to see if there was a difference, one of the definitions is "to acclimate." -Ben

Thank you.

At the poultry farm - barnyard

Postby Jeffrey » Sun Jun 11, 2006 7:46 pm

In front of you is the barn. It looks as if it hasn’t been used in awhile. Farm tools and grain lie in disarray all around. You notice some rotten wood that must have been some sort of fence.

Above you, you notice a ladder heading into the lower part of the silo.
To the south, the barnyard continues.
A cobblestone path to the west meanders toward a large field northwest of you.

Correction -
Its above, so the ladder should be heading into the upper part isn't it?
And what's meanders? :)

Meanders is real word that makes sense there.

More commonly used to describe a bend in a river, meanders would imply the path curves towards the large field. I think.

A silo is a raised structure, usually for storage. I think. Which means that a ladder WOULD lead up into the lower part of such a structure.

To meander means something like 'to wander' or 'to make your way in a haphazard manner' - so in other words in this case, the path doesn't go in a straight line.

Lost Tomb of the Ancients-Lower Halls

...Under the hieroglyphs are two scarabs: a black one pointing north and a silver one with a sun scribbled on its back pointing west.

Um... I'm in the bottem right hand corner of the first level of the tomb, and there isn't a west, only an east and north.
