"Half the ___ again" is just another way of saying 150% of something. I didnt have the problem with it. And thanks Raffe for putting some numbers to it... thats big.

Actually, either is correct. 'Camaraderie' has been in use about 30 years longer, but 'comradery' has been in use since the late 1800s as an alternate spelling.

This isn't really a spelling error, more word order being incorrect:

A narrow, iron-wrought bridge crosses over the mill pond, continuing a few paces to the east before returning downwards. Although the spaces between the railings are quite wide, they are padded with the same intense cobwebbing that stretched out over the steps you traveled up. Here and there are flies of various sizes, twisted in the webs and all decomposing gently in the damp air.

iron-wrought should be the other way around: wrought-iron

its been bothering me, so maybe I am just being picky but I have never heard it the other way.

Actually, "wrought iron" is specific type of iron alloy with a low carbon content while the word "wrought" means (metals) beaten out or shaped by hammering.
In this case, I think the sentence is more descriptive of a technique of craftsmanship as opposed to content of the material being used to make the bridge. The word wrought is a bit archaic but still appropriate in this context.

The bridge isn't made of wrought iron, it was wrought.
I suppose it depends on what the original writer of that area had in mind, though.

I couldn't recall the exact reason for the rule so I decided to look it up so I could explain it properly. A comma is technically a brief pause or a break in the sentence to allow for a breath.

Use a comma to introduce a quotation after a standard dialogue tag, a brief introductory phrase, or a dependent clause.

The detective said, "I am sure who performed the murder."
As D.H. Nachas explains, "The gestures used for greeting others differ greatly from one culture to another."

It is usual to have a comma when going from the narrative to the spoken word, which is why it would make "sentence sense" in this instance. It is to ease the transitional read effectively.
