Another Catacomb Item

Postby dagobert » Fri Sep 10, 2004 1:48 pm

A couple of blocks south of the entrance to the Catacombs is the description:

"...The plain look the caves have make each room look similar if not identical to the one before.... "

I would suggest: The plain look the caves have made each room look similar if not identical to the one before.

or

The plain look the caves makes each room look similar if not identical to the one before.

Thanks again!

I forgot to mention that the plain look OF the caves is what makes them do what they do.
Thanks!

Nothing wrong with the current description. The rooms have a plain look, which makes (They're still doing it) them look similiar to the other one

Thorin the Dainty.

As it says to the left......I talk WAY too much. ;)
And yes, I am fully aware that currently it says so to the right, rather than the left, which used to be the location for said line, but I am simply too lazy to change it for you.

Both Nero and the areas around the docks have been fixed. Thank you very much for your assistance.

I'll be overhauling the catacombs soon.

Maybe I am wrong but the "Yetti Hide Cloak" should be the "Yeti Hide Cloak"

I believe its the entrance to the Lavaflow Flats that shows this:

A lave flow too wide to jump across separates this furnace from the lands to the east...

Supposed to be lava and not lave I assume.

Found this on Kilican.

Kilican Road

You are on a road that around the volcano at the center of the island, and south to the docks of Port Perfadis. The road splits here to go both east and west around the volcano.

Shouldn't it read:

You are on a road that goes around the volcano at the center of the island, and south to the docks of Port Perfadis. The road splits here to go both east and west around the volcano.

Or something like that?

On Midnight Beach the description pretty much all the way up and down mentions Rabid Sharks but when they attack they are Ravenous Sharks.

Volcano Core Maze - Labyrinthine Passage

The tunnel heads east and south, and all around is the stifling heat and the acrid stench of sulphur. It seems these tunnels go on forever, with no hope for an end. Occasionally, ash drifts through the air around you, the only indication that the smothering air is even moving

The mistake is the direction. Throughout that section, South is not available. Its West if I recall.

Warm light from a fire glows through the tiny spaces between grass fibres.

Volcano Core Maze is fixed. It wasn't what you described, but it did lead me to another error, so thank you very much.

Reins and Reigns

Postby Venus Darkmoon » Mon Sep 20, 2004 2:45 pm

Erm, I hate to be pedantic and all, but in that "Your vote has been recorded" screen It should be "Take up the reins", as in those of a horse. Only a ruler "reigns". :)

Long story, the enemy Yetti and Yetti Hide Cloaks are a remnant of an old worldbuilder with very bad spelling =)

No, no, see, a 'yeti' is a creature similar to an Abominable Snowman in Earth myths.

A 'Yetti', on the other hand, is a fierce creature which inhabits the mountains of Valorn. No relation.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
