Fumbled attack but still killed creature.

Postby Sreip » Thu Jul 13, 2006 5:40 pm

Snow Leopard has been defeated!
You recieve 4960 experience as Snow Leopard dies
You have gained 9s for defeating Snow Leopard
Snow Leopard takes no damage due to deflecting all 0 points of Sreip Enudreklaw 's attack
Sreip Enudreklaw fumbles hers attack!
Sreip Enudreklaw takes 93 damage and deflects 96 damage from Snow Leopard
Snow Leopard takes 184 points of damage from Sreip Enudreklaw 's attack, deflecting 87
Sreip Enudreklaw takes 70 damage and deflects 106 damage from Snow Leopard

If the last round of battle has me taking damage and the creature taking none, how did I still kill it?

Thorin the Dainty.

As it says to the left......I talk WAY too much. ;)
And yes, I am fully aware that currently it says so to the right, rather than the left, which used to be the location for said line, but I am simply too lazy to change it for you.

No wonder a search didn't bring up that topic. Weird topic name. ;) Thanks Thorin.

Evil glare eh? Thought I'd already mastered that...

I like to play it as bleeding to death from previous wounds. We can bleed so why shouldn't they?

But why couldn't the creatures? :? I'm just trying to rationalize something here. Someday it will be fixed, but not now. So I came up with a rationalization that works for my character and I moved on.

You recieve 0 experience as Giant Scorpion dies
You have gained 7s for defeating Giant Scorpion
Giant Scorpion takes no damage due to deflecting all 0 points of Froilith Norea 's attack
Froilith Norea fumbles his attack!
Froilith Norea takes 34 damage and deflects 83 damage from Giant Scorpion

Heh, just had this happen too.

In point of fact, you can. If you begin bleeding badly and do nothing to get yourself healed, you will die.

Not true. You will go down to 1 HP but never die directly from the wound. You might die if you try to fight anything but if you never run into a monster you will not die.
