Healing with a Creature

Postby Morris » Mon Feb 27, 2006 1:32 pm

Shyla Moonshine ask me to report that she whilst she was hunting in the dark canopy she was able to move into a square with a creature in it and was able to heal herself before attacking the creature

As she is a cleric, I do not believe that is a bug. She can appraise and heal, she just cannot take any potions while the beast is present.

(It may really be a bug, but I know it came up before and has not changed.

My thinking is that it allows a cleric of advanced level to heal a lower character even if a creature is there (there seems to be no differentiation between creatures you can and cannot battle in that regard, so by allowing the "healing hands", noobs are not doomed.)).

You can heal but not use power potions.

noobs are not doomed

Not a big deal...but...I ask that the word newbs be used...it doesn't have "noob"'s negative connotations

From Wikipedia:

Newb and noob may have somewhat different connotations. Newbs are simply newcomers—noob and n00b, on the other hand, generally means someone who is obnoxious, annoying, or breaks the rules; whether they are actual newcomers or not is mostly irrelevant

I meant no offense, and was not aware of that subtlety of expression.

So, now, if I want to make sure I cover all types, do I have to say both? **wink**

Thanks for the clarification!!

"noob" is a word I wouldn't relate to a typical Valornian :)

I say n00b all the time, and if I say it, than it is perfectly fine.

Ben could click a button and reset your level to 1, you may have all the same knowledge but you would surely feel like a n00b for a while.

That is interesting logic. You young people and your internet-speak confuse me.

When your wife or girlfriend or husband or boyfriend is ticking you off, you don't go and delete yourself or whatnot. *shrug* - Ben
