newbie guide link not working (??)

Postby Lyndhen. » Thu Feb 23, 2006 10:02 am

A newbie who I sent 'deek's newbie guide' to (on the new adventurers screen) replied saying I'd sent her the following link

http://guide.remnantsofkimald.org/

and it didn't work.

--------------------------

it has come up before - Islander but no reply.

Oh man... that is a HORRIBLE bug. How long has it been like that? I wonder how many players we have lost over however long that link has been dead? Yikes.

Um..if a new player would be interested enough to read a guide but the link doesn't work, I guess they can ask back the mentor that greets them what is the right link, or why the link they were given doesn't work.

Makes sense? :?

Half the newbies can't figure out how to use the compass, let alone how to message something back. That is what the newbie guide is for. Besides, how well put together does a game look if you get a message like that and the link doesn't even work?

Secondly, I'm assuming no newbies messaged back that the link does not work, because then somebody would have posted in the bugs forum before. Unless they are an idiot... so thanks, Lyndhen, for not being an idiot and posting this here so I could fix it.

What about the Interface Trainer which, along with the Movement Trainer, is the first thing they see after they create a character?

Very true and I suppose it is fixed by now.
