The Kilican Demon Raids

Postby Hayate » Wed Jan 11, 2006 10:19 am

I noticed during this last raid a slight bug. Dunno if it has previously been reported but here goes neways...

If someone is tied to Kilican life monument during the raid and they manage to get back and are capable of doing damage to the demon assault troopers then they can kill the one that appears on the life monument regardless of how many times they die. Basically you have unlimited lives to kill it as you reappear in the smae location as the demon and are thrown instantly back into the fight.

Neways. Just thought you should know.

That's not a bug. The limit of 3 deaths per hour applies to any areas outside the cities, but if there are raids within the cities, you can obviously use many lives to defeat the creatures

Happens at every town...

I think it IS a bug Galad. I doubt it's meant to be like that.

As it says to the left......I talk WAY too much. ;)
And yes, I am fully aware that currently it says so to the right, rather than the left, which used to be the location for said line, but I am simply too lazy to change it for you.

The locations of the raids are not random and were selected by the Admin when put in game. I don't think it is a mistake on their part to place a monster where they have, nor to place a life monument where they have.

In my opinion, look at these occurences as opportunities for adventurers that are too low to still participate in the raids. (Although using 3+ lives at the start of the hour is rather silly)

And then you were likely bored for the next 50 minutes.

You sacrifice your playtime to save the city from a raid.
What kind of game would you make?

No, I'm not insulting you, I'm just saying it's the effect of killing yourself a ton of times for a raid. Yes, you can do it but if you want to play the rest of the hour you don't, or you pay for a Death Reset.

It's a strategy question more or less. 'Do I want to sacrifice to kill this demon? Or do I want to go farm or level?'

Hence, why it's not a bug, but a gameplay element created by the admins.

just remember to make sure you are actually doing damage... I think I killed myself 10 times in a raid before I realized they were wiping me out before I even got to swing......

Guess the constant reforming and teleporting was confusing me...
