HP recharging for no reason

Postby Thomas Covenant » Wed Jun 30, 2004 1:21 pm

I defeated an advanced demon scout and my HP's went from 1299 to 1029 (this is normal), I caried on and after defeating a few zombie archiologist in quick fights (no xp) I noticed my HP's had risen to 1320 ( the level I can top up to with potions).
I never enterd any other screens only movement and fights.
Sorry I don't have the full details, I can wander the desert with impunity (except those dam ants!) so I don't check my HP's often when I'm working on my scorpion quest.

Its just happened again. All things where as in the above post but this time I counted the zombie archieologists - after the 5th one was defeated my HP's bounced back up to the 1320 max.

I'm going looking for another advanced scout and then the zombie archiologists to see if it will repeat again. I'm only getting xp's from the demon scout and I should be able to take out about 5 or 6 of them without recharging my HP's with potions before I die. So Iam not gaining any advantage by doing this - just trying to hunt down the bug as near as possible to its source.
Hope this helps.

Ok its not happening now I just took out 13 zombie archiologists after the demon scout and theres been no adjustmetn to my HP's
The only difference this time is that on previous occssions the demon was on the road due north from Milltown, the last demon I took out was a few clicks off to the east, this may or may not have had a bearing on the outcome.
I leave as is for the time being.

Silly question, but you weren't getting zapped by a passing Cleric were you?

No I don't think so I didn't see any clerics around and there was never any purple writting on the screen.
Thats the first thing that I thought of as well Deek.
Great minds think alike ............

You know you might acctually be right Deek, it just happened again and I noticed Hentz had passed by and "laid healing hands" on me and the writing wass not purple. Ah well at least a few demons and a load of zombie archeologist will no longer bother travellers in the desert.

Clerics are very sneaky

That kind of sneakness is most welcome, although it can be a bit confusing at times. :? :? :?

Maybe I should leave a note...
