I just accidentally destroyed my trusty old holy battle hammer, which has been with me for over 12 levels now. **cries and cries some more**
I was trying to enchant it, but the mouse slipped up just a tad from enchant to destroy and before I could even say "3 cheers for Ben and Cory", instead, my battle hammer was destroyed. I thought: ok, no problem, I'll just say No when it asks me - Are you sure you want to destroy this item? Imagine my horror when it didn't ask me.
I am tired of having to constantly enchant my big toe and my pinkie fingers to win battles against monsters my level and I wish I had my battle hammer back....
So, I strongly second the 2 suggestions made by others here:
1. separate the "destroy" and "enchant" positions to preclude silly and regrettable mistakes by those of us who are all thumbs
2. add the 2-step destroy procedure for non-droppable items as well
Perhaps this should be moved to the Suggestions forum instead?
