Invincible Killer Gator

I have a character that is level 8 with the saw and everything and he cannot even damage the first Killer Gator in the dungeon to find the Giant Swamp Viper. I double checked the "new hunter's" scroll and it said Killer Gators are still for level 6. I went back with full blessings and was able to deal 5 damage to it before I almost died. I think something might be up.

EDIT: Maybe not invincible, but certainly a lot harder than he should be.

I know of a character that encountered the same creature, Nymble Swiftfoot (http://www.darkgrimoire.com/cshow194611.html). He was loaded down with enchantments and blessing, level 9...and was able to finally kill it, but it took a lot more hits than it should have. Even then, there were quite a few hits that did no damage when he "hit".

The monster just spawned again, with the same "unnatural" strength and toughness.

It looks to be with ALL Killer Gators that are spawning in the cave. He just ran into another one after the Mire Hag...same issue.

The gator is still unkillable for me at full enchants. Do the overly strong gators need to die to be replaced by weaker ones?
