It's always done that, hasn't it? It doesn't like any of the acutes, foreign letters, symbols etc.

It's not just these words it happen with. It happens when copying and pasting over anything into game such as a story being used for a tale telling event when it's copied over from word or other similar type documents. Usually it's the apostrophes and such that cause a bunch of weird characters to show up in its place. Always been that way.
It is important for presentation sake so yes it be nice to eventually have sorted.
