Bag of powder not work

I took a cannon ride and landed at the wastelands and tendrils and could not poof out. Has it changed ?

Edit , I was fighting a demon spider a d was able to poof out...

So could it be the great preponderance of evil that blocks the ability ?

It seems odd to beable to retreat back to the cannons

There's a bug with using ANY items when moving from a "portal" area. You wouldn't have been able to use your staff either (or even a mug of ale).

Except any other time I ride the cannon I can use my bag

And it worked in The spots in the thread you listed . before and after the portal and the pillars to milltown

Did all of those occurrences have enemies already spawned on your location? Because they were talking about during a raid when they would've walked right onto a demon.

Not at Ryndall, but other times taking the cannon I do land on creature and can still poof out.

Before you ask no I did not say I had no chance, it was too low to fight. So not sure it if is just that spot in Bran or because the baddies where too powerful.

In landed there with the cannon

I tried teleporting with my powder, did not work. And during a battle I cannot see my portals to enter them. The only thing I did not try is recalling to my life monument .

I know, I was just curious if it was something from the cannon or a teleporting issue.

I don't think you can can cast portals if there's a creature that's a higher level? Is that true or am I making that up?

If I am correct , you can cast a portal spell. But cannot (see) it until the monsters that you can attack are defeated .

Walking into from Bran ,I could powder out.

And I tested it, I could open a portal it seemed to work , but I could not see it due to the creatures

You are, Zarock. The portal is "there" just not accessible until whatever is attacking you has been dealt with.

If you're on the 'fight/retreat/quick' screen it won't let you. If you can MOVE normally, it will let you.

Everyone who had that issue was in the process of fighting a raid that was strong enough to be fought.

Try monument recall next time, that's how I've gotten Dimitri out of binds. (I think, honestly, it might be because the cannon/monument counts as an 'item used'. You run into similar issues when you use your staff first and try to powder poof out after - it doesn't work.)

A long time ago Ben implemented a change where you would rarely be unable to escape via bags of powder during combat, there is a chance that you were marked as being in combat at some point, and hadn't had it end (happens time to time), and your powder just failed you.
