That must have really helped get back to the clerics when bleeding!

Portals are a nessesity for every one, and have a wide range of use. True clerics do have interactions for the bleeding mechanics forgot about that
And yes it did help find a cleric when bleeding.

I may have missed saying it clearly, my main point was cannot compare professions.
I would rather try and look a fool, than not try for fear of looking a fool.

Clerics can stop bleeding of all in their immediate area. Warriors salves stop bleeding for individuals...

((is it spoiler if nobody loses health from invisible bleedings?))

I like and understand the concept of the Bleed System, but based on the fact that Clerics pretty much have it covered it seems pointless for a Warrior to have the Salve Kit. But again that is simply my opinion.

Salves are only made by warriors.

I was referring to the fact that clerics hold the ability to cure bleeding...granted its an item but it still holds the ability. So creating Salves is kind of pointless, I mean it makes great RP but eh.

Granted, but salves allow adventurers to heal themselves on the go. I don't think they're pointless at all...when the bleeding mechanic is working, anyway. Back when it did, Cen (as a rogue) always carried a few salves, because bleeding when click-clicking tended to go really bad, really fast. :P

I used to use them all the time on my non-clerics. It saved me the problem of having to FIND one.

Why buy potions when a cleric can just heal you?

It might not be the fanciest of skills, but it did have a use. And will do again when fixed

I disagree. I am not always in the presence of a cleric, and bleeding all over a town is just ... eww! So, it is much preferable to pop a salve on, and carry on.

Why should clerics buy potions when an enchanter can just rejuvenate them?

In short, professions having different skills to help one another is amazing, and that is one thing I do like about the game. I really don't see any unique professional ability as pointless. Salve kits are only "pointless" in so far as, right now, the bleed mechanic is broken, therefore the salves are not required.

Thank you - that's what I was trying to say, but it was far too early for my brain to be awake properly.

What exactly are you trying to imply about Doyle, there? ;)

Besides, imagine the war stories ... it would be the DG version of a live podcast while you work!

If the bleed mechanic was out in the open...as they have said its just not shown, or if it was active in a manner that was proactive, I wouldn't really bring up the Salve Kits...but as it is currently not active, working properly, under reconstruction or whatever it is the Salve Kits have no function. That's really all I'm getting at. If they plan on bringing it back then that means they will have purpose once again...but if not...then its time to look for an alternative.
