we need an option to pull pics off of our desktops, cause i have a supernice pic on my compy and no way to put it as my avatar

Yeah, I think that's because I went on the link to it... they must have something to stop people using them as an avatar hosting service, but if I just visit the link every so often I can get round that. :twisted:

Your browser caches it so it doesn't have to go back to the server again and it only checks for the image when the cached version expires. Thats why you can see it for a while after visiting geocities, but can't see it after a while.

Geocities does not allow picture file sharing.

What you need to do is go into your file manager and change the file name from name.jgp, name.bmp, etc. whatever picture file it is...to name.txt it'll still load as a picture file and it will share.

yeah its big, you can edit it's size very easy with msPaint if you are using windows...

open it up with paint then hit image on the toolbar, then chose "stretch/skew" and put a smaller % in the horizontal and vertical boxes.
