...I got Digital Cable...and I don't even watch it. Why would I get a TiVo to record the TV shows I already don't watch...But, for some reason your marketing plot makes me want one *drool* ...Christmas...

I quite often fully intend on watching something, but do game stuff instead and never get to it. Now I can.

*drool*...I haven't watched TV in almost 6 months, well, I have watched it, but not like I used to. I used to watch a few hours a day, now it's like an hour a week or two. It's not something I really miss that much though.

Hey unfair guys :(
We in the UK only have 5 channels (ones worse than the other) unless we pay for a satalite dish and then subscribe to Sky - (just say no to Rupert Murdoch !)
Just as expensive getting cable in and now the goverment are intent on getting rid of the anoluge signal and forcing us all in to getting a digital box instead - oh and we've got to pay for a TV liecence even if we don't watch the TV - so I got rid of my TV a few months back - now all I watch is the football at the weekend in the pub :D (thats football as in socer).

Just wondering why Americans call football football when there is hardly any kicking (of the ball) in it - come to think of it a ball is round and not oval shaped :o
Now football which you would refer to as socer is played by (mainly) kicking the ball which is ball shaped :!:
If anyone can give me a definative answer on this then that would be one less mystery of the world for me to ponder at night as I try to get some sleep :?

Well Thomas, that's not strickly true about only having 5 channels... analogue TV has 5 channels, digital FreeView has about 15 (or something like that...)

And I refuse to be drawn into an arguement about sport...

Cerebrus...watch it, that sort of thing will get your in trouble. Deek is a good guy, and doesn't need that sort of thing, besides, if he doesn't want to talk about sports, it means he's an intellectual...

Now, why we call football, well,...football. We as Americans believe ourselves to be the superior nation, therefore, we cannot share the simpleton name of football with the rest of the world, as we now call it soccer. In keeping with our egotistical beliefs, we ran out of names for our Gladiator-like Sunday and Monday night beatings...so, in order to mock the remainder of the modern world, we decided to call our "sport" football. So...*sticks out tongue*...there.

(This was all a joke, our sports are actually all messed up because of a typo made several decades back that our government will never admit to, all of the rest of the world is right, it is football not soccer, he he)

Over a computer things like tone of voice and body language cannot be expressed very well, so anything said is very monotone and dull, and this extracts most emotion from a saying. Therefore...it could be taken seriously...

But I understand your playful manner.
