Sorry, Thaliea! Word lists count as a hit UNLESS they are the sole whack. So, a true googlewhack only has once hit listed, which is a real site. Pesky word lists!

Well. Potentially a googlewhack! Will await the expert's ruling on this though, because hasenpfeffer (while it appears in dictionary.com) is not English and I'm not entirely convinced it's in common usage. It's rather a nice word though, so fingers crossed.

i guess if viperoides is being allowed, hasenpfeffer must be. i actually know what hasenpfeffer is (and viperoides, as someone involved with snakes for over 15 years). however, they're both foreign words and both not exactly in every day usage. i'll let that be up to someone else's call.

so far it does seem though that i was the only one who found any true googlewhacks using solely english- as obscure words as they might be.

Argh. Okay, the second is discounted as it should indeed be schoolchildren. While dictionary.com comes up with a response to that word, the actual entry is 'schoolchild.' The plural is schoolchildren.

I'm struggling with witchcrafts hexastyle. Both are acceptable words, however: the result, though it is not a list of words, is not really a website proper. It's one of those ones that come back with spurious links for the words you entered in the search engine, and I'm not convinced this is allowed.

Hasenpfeffer is a bit more common around my house as my daughter has a rabbit named that so kudos to her for the inspiration.

we have to disqualify dirk's entry. after much discussion, we have decided combover is not the proper spelling of the word.

the OED does not have 'combover'

wikipedia has it as 'comb over'

and dictionary.com itself has it as 'comb-over' in the main entry.

combover is a misspelling of the compound word, it is either two words, or at best, a hyphenated word.

the proper spelling 'comb-over' and hasenpfeffer result in 2 results on google, not one.
