3. Ode to The god Ben

let us all raise a glass, to the deeds of the great god, present & past! he does his godly tricks with wit & something like a walking stick! yes he makes us do the run around, but then he is the only world builder in town! o we love him indeed for without him there would no DG!

he has the power this is true & he likes to tell us about the rules.in his tower all day long making sure we do no wrong, blessed be that wonderous man creating such richness & new lands

4. 'untitled'

All adventurers in the most fair land of Trinald
Bent knee to the Wrathful Ben, a Terrible God.
In the pantheon there were another one or two,
But no matter these weak and pitiful few,
For Ben was the Mightest in the land
Striding through Dundee with flaming sword in hand.
Those who disobeyed or displeased
Were dispatched with remarkable ease.
Those who were reverent in their praise
Lived happily all their born days.
Warriors, clerics, enchanters and rogues --
The wisest of whom do know --
Ben is mightest of all the Gods
and only the foolish do set themselves at odds
with the Great and Terrible Ben of Valorn.

5. Smiling God

6.

O Ben! Thou hast plucked the stars from the skies
And placed them with thy gentle hand unto mine eyes
For now when I do gaze upon thy countenance
I am but dazzled, and wish to make my penance
For ever believing another god could match thy grace
Or their aura could frame another, more handsome face.
Here is provided the light of life, and all who walk therein
Shall see this miracle thus and in haste repent their sin.
With fearsome power thou dost command and smite,
In knee-trembling displays of that inspiring might
And half the ladies of Valorn cannot help but swoon
Whene’er thy godly bearing enters in the room.
A lesser god by name of Zeus used transformation
To turn to animals, or gold, and bent upon elation
Seduce the women to whom he had taken liking!
While this would of course to us be most exciting,
Thou art too dedicated to the craft that is perfected,
Creating our amazing world, and thus I remain dejected.

Lord Worldbuilder

Ben the disciplinarian, tis a great and powerful God
Everyone does worship him, in lands both near and far
No one dares go against him else they’ll live in the land of Nod

Oh how glad we are to have Ben help to protect us from Balthazar
For he is strong and mighty, can make items appear with a blink

A great enchanter, a master who young ones aspire to be
Does amazing tricks, invisibility so he’s never where you may think
Many a cleric praise Ben as well, in fact to the highest degree
I wrote this poem to sing of his Glory, which most already know
Now adays you can know he’s around when you spot that Godly glow

11.

Ode To Ben

The Great Worldbuilder Ben,
Is not a has-been,
no matter what you say.
With the power of the cosmos,
Ben is the most
powerful god I know.

12.

Ben the Worldbuilder, Ben the Kind

Ben the Worldbuilder
Ben the Kind
Mighty to create
Worlds from His great mind
From the formless Abyss
He shapes and molds
The world we live in—
In His hands, he doth hold
The very essence of all Creation
Sing ye his praises, all ye nations!

Bending time at the Monument
He sends away with ease
Those who break His great commandments
Those with who the Great Ben is displeased
Kneel before Him? Nay, not so!
But dance in joyous praise
Let all of every profession
Sing of the Great Ben all their days!

Ben the Guardian, Ben the Wise
To You this hymn is made
Ah! When Your voice booms through the skies
I fear not, and raise my blade
In salute to You, Mighty One
Though to the temple I've never walked
Praises to You, from sun to sun!
Of Your goodness and mercy, to all I'll talk!

13.

IN PRAISE OF BEN

Mighty Craftsman, Maker of Worlds,
Ben the Builder, of blessings the source,
at your first touch Trinald awakened:

out of the void Valorn was born,
Ethucan rose from the radiant ocean,
and burning Kilican burst forth in fire.

You set the stars in shining array;
with your own hands upholding the sky,
you sent Sunrifter on its straight path.

With care and skill you carved the mountains;
by your design the desert unending
came out of nothing, and new forests,
grasslands and plains grew at your word.

Your wrath is doom, darkening the skies:
loud-voiced thunder, twin-forked lightning
smites the lawbreaker, blights the shameless.

For yours is the world, well-guarded Trinald;
your power defends our dear dwelling-place,
Holy World Builder, held in your hands.

Size is not a factor, You merely have to be able to convert it into a format which we can view and receive through JKs Submission E-mail address listed above.

We added in the Poetry contest so that people with no Art programs could still enter to win a kingly prize, So if you have an art piece you wish to enter but you lack a scanner, then you may have to resort to entering the Poetry contest.

Also remember DO NOT post the picture in this thread, the prior 2 are Examples posted to inspire.

What sort of graphic format is acceptable

1 Free hand drawing
2 3d model
3 Photoshop enhanced Art

If you prefer a original artwork this can easily be done in all those formats

Our concept was to accept any form of Original Art provided that you can get it to us in a viewable form. The Poetry Contest was added to accomodate the non-artistic or those who lack a Scanner.... I'll Dig around online and see If I can find any Shareware Art programs then link them here so that people can get involved even if they don't currently have a scanner or any Art Programs.

*EDIT* Ok I found one that seems promising. I downloaded and Installed it. It's a bit cool, you can change paper types and paint, oil, crayon, chalk, it also has a few other tools It's Shareware. here is the link.

http://www.invision-graphics.com/downloads-cat44.html You want the 5th one down the list Named ArtRage it's 1.55 MB in size.

keep in mind this is not a required thing. I'm just tossing it out to give people more options. I take no responsibility for the proper functioning of the shareware, and also if you're not on your own PC get permission before downloading and installing new software.

Good Luck! the key to victory is Unbridled Creativity!

I hope you dont mind but if you are mailing your images to a hotmail account they should not exceed 2 mega bytes as thats the amount allowed to be put into a hotmail account unless you have brought more. may I also suggest a linking to a free imagehosting server and sending the url link to the hotmail address via a email then more images can be stored and not rejected because of the lack of file sizes one free hosting site is

And hotmail has a 250mb limit. OR does that still depend on where you live?

As it says to the left......I talk WAY too much. ;)
And yes, I am fully aware that currently it says so to the right, rather than the left, which used to be the location for said line, but I am simply too lazy to change it for you.

Hotmail sent me a fruit basket for my birthday once.

The grapes were a little sour, and the pears were certainly out of season, but if it weren't for the mold on the kiwi, I think I might have quite appreciated the gesture.
What kind of game would you make?

This contest pleases admin. We are glad to see our Lord Ben immortalized in art! But there are sadly so few entries. Admin would like to donate to the grand prize winner a Very Special Artistic Prize. It will undoubtedly be the talk of the town and the envy of many.

Good luck, entrants.
