The Kindred Circle's Fright Night

The Kindred Circle wants to celebrate the scariest time of year in true style. We need storytellers, performers, and of course spectators willing to hear scary tales! lol

This is to celebrate Halloween of course - but as a Valornian Event it will be called Fright Night.

Stories can be based on Valorn or based on real life stories you've heard. You can choose to tell your own story, one you've heard, or put on a play. It is entirely up to the person. Since this is only an event for fun and is not judged in any way - I don't care if you use your own content or someone else's. Just don't take from a fellow Valornian who will be performing.

We will be holding this two times on October 28th. Friday night seems more appropriate since the real Halloween falls on a Monday and is not as good for people's real life schedules.

One will be at 4pm EST which is 3pm CST, 1pm PST, and 9pm GMT.
The second will be 10pm EST which is 9pm CST, 7pm PST, and 3am GMT.

This is NOT a contest and there will be no judging, no entry fees at all, and nothing in particular to win. This is just for everyone to have a good time and enjoy some scary tales ^_^

The Kindred Circle will provide refreshments, ale, lemonade, food. The event will be held in our Guild Hall Amphitheater, by the Bos Hills off of Southern Shore Road.

**Depending on how many perform or choose to participate this can become an all day event or not. I would like at least 3 performances per time slot and will gladly accept more! **

It has been brought to my attention that a benefactor has stepped forward offering Nobility to the ONE person they believe has the best story.

This "judging" is beyond The Kindred Circle and is entirely up to the benefactor. So, step up and offer us something to be scared of and perhaps impress the benefactor into choosing you

As per the benefactor, "judgement will be based on content..structure...scariness or holiday humor and presentation".

Another guild has offered to award a prize to the benefactor's choice of a winner.

The Valorian Champions of Chivalry has agreed to give 4000 potions to the winner.

If a Cleric wins - this will be power potions of course.
For all others this will be health potions.

So..... the count of prizes is as follows thus far:
- One Month of Nobility
- 100plats
- 4000 potions

But you have to participate to be eligible to win

**Winner is NOT chosen by the Kindred Circle and is based solely on the benefactor's discretion.**

Another generous adventurer has stepped forward with a gift of 6000 potions. I do not know if he/she wishes to be named or not.

These 6000 potions will be equally divided amongst ALL participants regardless of winner.

So if there are 6 participants you each get 1000 potions of your choice - whether you're a cleric and want power potions or any other profession and want health potions.

I'd love to participate. I've got a great idea for a play. ~grin~

I of course need to find a female narrator (when seeing the script you'll understand why), an old woman, an old man, and Stretchie Woman. Of course, ye do not have to be streachy to play the part, or old, but those are the only four parts in my story. We can improvise with costumes should it come to that, even if it means dressing a young man up as a very old woman.. ~chuckles at the thought~

Well if you think about it, the KC is not give prizes, that is the benifactors. So i would feel that you could still do a story if you wish even if you are playing in Alris play.

Yes, you may do both, but it's cutting close to time. I will be putting up a list of participants soon. If anyone is missing you'll all have to let me know.

If you do both - the 6000 potions that everyone egts a share of, you will only get counted as one person even though you're performing in one and giving your own as well.
