How interesting was your DG Start Date?

Use your start date for your most current 'main' account or if you can recall your oldest account date exactly. You can use either. Use the first character created on that account - if deleted or unused, please note the current character the player may be known by (if you do not want to reveal that name).

Or if you can recall exactly when a character exited the welcome center - then you can make multiple entries for each characters 'start date'

Do not bother if you have to say 'sometime in 2009, I cannot recall the exact month or day' because that defeats the purpose. You must post an exact date.

From there, tell us about that date in history: (here are some examples but use whatever interesting facts that occurred on that date)
What was the #1 song?
What movie was #1 in the box office?
Who was born?
Who died?
What other world or national events took place?

Think of something similar to this:

Use of a graphic is optional.
There will be prizes.

July 1st, 2022!

#1 song in the US was As it Was by Harry Styles, according to Billboard's wiki page.

#1 Movie was Minions: The Rise of Gru, according to BoxOfficeMojo

While it was so recent, I couldn't find any people born on that date who would be considered famous already. There are a number of folks that are famous, born on July 1st, but in much earlier years! Jamie Farr, from the long-running hit TV show M*A*S*H. Jamie played Corporal Max Klinger!
Dan Aykroyd! Missy Elliot! Princess Diana, too.

But, just as folks were born, some died. Notable American Musicologist and Music Critic Richard Taruskin died on July 1st, 2022. Technoblade, a famous Minecraft Youtuber, died after an illness of cancer.

Did you know that July 1st is Tartan Day in Scotland? I didn't! And I don't live in Scotland, so if that's wrong, blame the internet. It's also Canada Day, eh! In India, it is National Doctors' Day. Which is beneficial, because it is also Bronchiestasis Day worldwide. Which sounds like something a Doctor would be good for! In Suriname and the Dutch Antilles, the scourge of Slavery was made illegal way back in 1863.

Oddly, Elon Musk also tweeted on July 1st that he had met the Catholic Pope and the US announced they would be further supporting the war in Ukraine by supplying nearly $1 billion in supplies to Ukraine.

July 1st! What a day!

My account was started on February 3rd 2005.
... which seems to have been a pretty boring day, as far as "stuff" goes :D
We were under the zodiac sign of Aquarius and the Chinese year of the Monkey.

The #1 Song in the US appears to have been "Let Me Love You" by Mario and in the UK I have found conflicting information. It was either "Now Or Never" by Elvis Presley or "Like Toy Soldiers" by Eminem.
In Portugal a boys band by the name "D'ZRT" was all the craze, with their first album originally named "D'ZRT" having been released.

The box office leading movie was "Hide and Seek", released just 7 days before, followed by "Million Dollar Baby" and "The Aviator".

While not born on the year of 2005, Amal Clooney has her birthday on this day!
Anyone born on this date has an Amethyst for their birth stone and a violet for their birth flower (whatever that means).

We were sad to have the following personalities departing this earthly bond:
- Corrado Cardinal Bafile, Italian Catholic cardinal (b. 1903)
- Ernst Mayr, German-American biologist (evolutionary theory), dying at the remarkable age of 100 years old
- Zurab Zhvania, Prime Minister of Georgia (b. 1963) from gas poisoning, which appears to have been an assassination!

Around the world it seems:
- Alberto Gonzales becomes first Hispanic U.S. attorney general
- "Shwaas" won the Golden Lotus during the Indian 51st National Film Awards

Below in visual format for ease of understanding :D

the 2nd of May 2004

which seems to be a very slow news day

in america #1 Song: Yeah! - Usher Featuring Lil Jon & Ludacris
in UK #1 Song: F**K It (I Don't Want You Back) - Eamon

it was 2 days before the final season of friends aired

from my research no one famous was born, had a birthday or died on this day

film wise box office films were kill bill 2 and van hesling

My journey into this world started on January 30th, 2007 with my first character Brisingr Blaze. Random fact, this was three days after my 16th birthday.

For those who are unaware - find your starting date on the character selection page. There is a hyper link that says ‘review account data’ or similar.
