Colorful Creations During a Soulful Summer Soak

Postby Lavender » Fri Jul 07, 2023 6:15 pm

Do you have a Summer Song of Spicy Saffon?
Or what could be scarier than Frightful Fuchsia Fictional?
Add a Robust Red Rhyme perhaps?
A Poem of Pink could be pretty pleasant.
Or when everyone is relaxed and tired how about a Lavender Lullaby?

Yes indeed I had to use my name!
You do not have to use the color that rhymes with what you are doing, I just did that for fun for me!

So come and soak away your worries in the softly scented waters of the Bunnies Hare Salon while you listen to or create your own colorful tales!

This is also a forum contest so post your color creations in this thread! Post can be made until the end of Summer Faire!

From Dundee road at the helpful informational sign go west once into Guildhall Lane.
South into the Bunnies Guild Hall.
East to the Rest and Relaxation Room
Then climb up to the Bunnies Hare Salon.

Friday, July 21th at 4p CST/5p EST/ 10p BST

Updated so as not to clash with another event.

Short color poem by Rosaline

Rosy pink in a blush or two,
Quick on my cheeks spread no matter the due.
Wither it be papa embarrassing tales he does tell,
Or lovely words from my Daven’s lips makes my heart sail.
Rosy color the sky at dusk does take.
Now I’ve told a colorful rhyme for this turns sake!

The Colours of a Crown
( Pallas’ Summer Song )

written about the Floral Crown he made at the oasis, and which itself represents important facets of his life

The shades of summer brightly burn
throughout the season, turn by turn
The ‘rifter flies above us all
in paint war, deadly game, or ball.

Throughout the marcs which shine so bright
shortening the reign of night,
We celebrate this shining time
in word, or tales, or maybe rhyme.

This crown I made quite recently,
a memoir of these times ‘twill be.
The colours with some thought I chose
from daisy, flax, and beauteous rose

The blue and white are for the sky
and ‘rifter as it rolls on by
Scarlet and red for passion. and love
warmer than that orb above.

And green, most blessed hue of all
through Summerfaire or Fest of Fall
In nature’s growth e’er will endure
the Sylvan with her heart so sure

This season whether here or past
within our hearts will surely last.
A time of fun, of thanks, will stay
within us whereso’er we stray

And likewise love, that constant shell
that holds us should life go ill or well
A smile, a voice, in mind and heart
whether we’re together or apart

The seasons roll, love remains,
the colours change across the plains
Some things alter, some never do
in these lands, this home for me and you.

Some summer days, Rifter is...
Sweetly dizzying
Honey
spilled over skin
and
Even stone warms
and memories turn gold
I long for the song of the morning, the dancing of shadows at dusk, and the silence that closes the night.

Is story of Zostre and colors, long after many Zelele has told from otherhome, when High Ones had come down into Low World, and dwelt among us, between the River and the Sands.

Flowing One is became the River; had many beautiful flowers and fish and insects and birds, of all colors and patterns, and also taught weaving to people. Is became proud, and boasted herself bestest weaver in the Worlds, HIgh and Low.

Great One, who wove the Worlds themselves, was not pleased, but did not care to go to extremes. At that time, Zostre served him, and he sent Zostre down to River as messenger. Zostre came down, down to bank of River, and said was messenger of Great One, and wanted to see River's weaving - and would report.

So River unrolled a red, red cloth, red as the sunset shining on the River. And Zostre walked on to the red weaving and sat and breathed and thought - well, that is Zostre secret what exactly he thought - and thought, and turned red, exactly the same red, so none could see him.

And River unrolled a blue cloth, bluer and more delicate than sky, blue as the bloom of the floating River flower for which have no word in this tongue. And Zostre did not even move, but turned the same same blue, sitting still on the red.

River grew angry at that, and unrolled her bestest cloth, of seven, ten, dozen, colors - such as only the most powerful may wear there in otherhome. And Zostre looked at it and - hesitated, for the colors ran across each other, in both warp and woof, and it would be hard, hard to match.

But he came, all blue as he was, and came to where blue thread crossed blue thread. And there he sat. Then *looks around audience* one toe turned red, and one turned green, and one turned fuschia - and lines and bands of color grew over him, like vines in the jungle. And effort of making all these colors made him flat, flat; but he held them. Not even River, and no eyes be sharper than River's, could see him, or tell him from the plaid.

So River said: If such is the messenger, what is the Great One? What does It weave? May be have been hasty, hasty.

*looks up* Is take it back! Is take it back! Is take it back!

And since then has been moral, not to claim be bestest in all the Worlds.

And the Zostre Society have been heralds and ambassadors.

I leave the past; I accept the fuschia.
Purple wraps me like an empress' robe.
I see my iris and my mirror sees me.
We are inseparable.

What am I?
