CROW CALL

Postby Lathai Lughaidh » Tue Mar 21, 2023 7:21 pm

After an interminable hiatus, Murder of Crows is pleased to announce a long overdue calling of thespians and entertainers.

Auditions will take place talent show style. You may perform a skit, play a musical instrument, do stand-up comedy, song or dance routine, slam poetry, tell a story, build a house of dull crystals, carve the likenesses of gods into fruit, fold scrolls into animals, act as a mime, do a ventriloquist act, a shadow puppet act, create an interactive science project, perform a juggling act. Valorn is your shuck!

Candidacy will be based on one or more of the following criteria:
- Skill in a chosen genre, or lack thereof
- Amusement factor
- Originality
- Roleplay—including readability, expressiveness, creativity, and so on

Open audition dates will be announced in four turns, so draft your performances now! Please keep acts no longer than a marc (10 minutes). You may audition to be involved in troupe productions, even if guilded; ALL are welcome to audition.

Stagehand positions are also available for those of interest— including, but not limited to: costume and set design, hair and makeup, playwright, lighting and sound technicians, prop procurement, theatre armorer, carpenters, admission salespersons, and ushers.

If you are interested in auditioning, or interviewing for backstage and front-of-house roles, please sign your name below this flier so that we might appropriately plan our readiness.

We look forward to your entertainment,
Lathai Lughaidh

If in need of a carpenter, still. I have some experience.

Due to having underestimated the amount of preparative work necessary to ready our unattended halls, we regret to inform you that the announcement of audition dates will be postponed for another quarter-cycle.

Still, we are thrilled by the number of autographs listed on this roster— and hope that additional signatures will be penned in the coming turns.

We thank you for your patience and look ever forward to hosting you.
Lathai Lughaidh

((OOC - Unfortunately, real-life commitments demand most of my free time in the coming week. Prospective dates are the 7th, 11th, or 14th—tentatively, and work schedule dependent (Service Industry, RIP). I am so excited for these auditions to come, and will keep everyone posted!))

Our first audition will occur Friday, April 7th, at 5:00 PM EST (10:00 PM GMT) within the Crow’s Amphitheater north of Milltown’s Oasis.

If you’re unable to make it, do not fret! We will host another within the cycle.

Counting the turns until,

So very grateful for the amazing turnout!

For those of you whose names are on this roster, and could not attend— our second audition will take place Tuesday, April 11th, at 5:00 PM EST/10:00 PM GMT.

We hope to see you all in attendance, even if you do not wish to perform.

All the best,
Lathai Lughaidh

Sorry to have missed this! Glad you decided to come by, anyway!

To all have tried out—
Please bear with us as we touch base with you individually to determine guild candidacy. This may take some time, but we appreciate your patience.

Those of you who've signed up for auditions but couldn’t make either event— please feel free to reach out to Howard, Threne, or I to schedule a private audition if still interested. There will be no casting couch.

Best,
L.L.

((Sorry for the delay, everyone! I promise I will be reaching out to everyone who has auditioned soon. I’ve been getting my booty handed to me with six-day work weeks for the past several weeks, and the fatigue is catching up to me. Thank you, again, for your patience!))
