Snowbanks lying all around
Muffling each and every sound
Let’s have a snowball fight – just think, what fun.
Or maybe build a snowman here
Watch it lurch and snarl and jeer
It reaches out – it’s time to fight or run!
Festive greetings one and all
Let’s have a dance – a winter’s ball
Time for smartness, dress up to the nines
Or maybe it’s just party time
With song and lights or words which rhyme
And tasty nibbles – (don’t forget the wines)
Winter must come to an end
With love or hope a message send
As lanterns rise to fly above the Caer.
But Summer comes and then the Fall
Each festive season’s glee for all
Reasons to be cheerful through the year.
The joke is on the bloke who never spoke a word at all
But whose dreams lay unrevealed 'til they were rotten ...
