Introducing...

Deadly Coin Tag

By now, several of you will have picked up ancient coins, with powerful stats. Nifty, eh?

There's just one problem. The spirits who own that money want it back. And they'll kill to get it.

From now on, you may see ONE coin out and about which is not just an "Ancient Coin", but a "Marked Ancient Coin". Check your pack, it may even be you!

When a coin is marked, the following things happen:

1. Your coin becomes even MORE powerful, one of the most stunning items in the game, with incredible stats
2. You are next to die

When the spirits are awoken, they find whoever is holding the Marked Ancient Coin, kill them, and take their coin back. It's not a pretty sight.

The only way to avoid certain death is to tag someone else. Find someone else holding an Ancient Coin, and hit USE on their coin. This will pass the "Marked" status on to them, giving them incredible power, but also putting them directly in the firing line.

Every coin holder therefore has a choice when they find themselves Marked. Hold onto it, and use the incredible stats? Or pass the mark on, to save themselves?

Exactly how severe is "not a pretty sight"?

Asking for a friend, mind you. Not trying to tempt any spirits.

I should mention, it's not too late to get a coin. And if you're a glutton for punishment, you can always go back and get a new coin once the spirits have reclaimed your current one!

This is pretty cool, thanks a lot for the event Admin!

Will the spirits "attack" a marked coin holder who is logged off? Would it be possible for the marked coin to automatically go to a new active character after 30-60 minutes of inactivity? It would be nice for it to constantly remain in play where everyone potentially has access to it and players can't hoard it.

Another question is: those who hold regular Ancient Coins will also be targets for the spirits?
Because I think I was, or else I held the Marked Coin for a split marc and was instantly punished

I had an ancient coin and fell asleep. I woke up dead and the coin was gone. So I suppose I was a victim of the spirits but was unware that it happened. I suppose this means that you can lose the coin even if your character is logged out?

The maze is closed now, but those of you with coins beware, the spirits still want them back.

(Yes, you can be killed while offline if your coin is Marked)

Twice actually.
Did you break all of DG, or just the bits associated with the Maze?
Hopefully Pallas won't sleep in a planned spot, only to wake at the monument again. His morning cuppa is stashed at the hall, and he's useless without it. (Insert joke of choice here!!)
