Drecq Lexesntar will be working on a large two handed sword much like a Claymore but with a wider blade.

Wow thank you all for such a great response! That is just amazing :)

So here is the public lineup so far (If you contacted me privately I left you off)

Zarock - Painting Project
Topaz - Wyvern Scale Armor
Tess Weaver - Weaving
Ellyana Lilli - Decorative Hair Comb
Ivan Monde - Carved wooden figure
Brisingr Blaze - Rapier type sword
Kenji - Sword
Drecq Lexesntar - Claymore sword
Korba - Book of Maps

I have gotten some questions so just thought to give some clarification.

If your project morphs during the course of your work, that is fine. However, if you project changes completely (You start sewing a dress and then change to pottery) then the points earned towards making your dress don't count to earn you pottery.

This is, in essence, the rp of your craft, so with the exception of attending an official event organized by another person ( an official event posted on the notice board, set time and date etc.) you don't earn points by rping something that has nothing to do with your craft.

Again, if your craft doesn't have a specific item, or you are hoping for the tools for your craft etc. that is fine as long as it is related to your craft. In which case you can rp having the item or so on. For example, if your craft is knitting and you rp having knitting needles and want those needles as your end project.

A bit of clarifications on the point system:

Scenario 1

Topaz shows Zarock how to do armor type things to scales.

Topaz gets 10 points...5 for her and 5 for including Zarock.

Zarock gets new knowledge, gets to help a friend and some rp, but because his craft has nothing to do with making armor he gets no points towards that craft.

(We didn't want to make an atmosphere where people were only rping for points :) )

Scenario 2

Drecq and Kenji get together to swap advice and work on their swords together. Drecq shows Kenji some things, Kenji shows Dreq some things.

Drecq gets 10 points...5 for himself and 5 for Kenji

Kenji gets 10 points...5 for himself and 5 for Drecq

( This was deliberately designed to encourage learning a craft or teaching a craft. If you rp out helping someone learn their craft you both get 10 points each session.)

Scenario 3

Ellyana hosts a hair piece making event, she officially announces it, sets a time and date and makes it open to everyone.

Bris attends the event that has nothing to do with his craft.

Ellyana gets 20 points for hosting an official event.

Bris gets 5 points for supporting his fellow crafter (the only way to earn points outside of your craft)

I hope that clarifies some things! Basically if it is your craft you get points for it. If not, and not an official event, you don't.

Ani Clawsrike will be attempting to make a stuffed wolf plushie. She will demonstrate how she's going to keep the plushie together and what type of thread she will use to keep it bound.

(( Thank you again to everyone for such a great and varied response to this!

I plan on sending point totals I have recorded so far out to everyone this weekend. If you have racked up some points that I don't know about please just drop me a message here on the forums so I can add it in. For rp scenes a partial log of the scene or a summary of the scene works just fine :)

And no, this isn't a deadline, if you have rped something out and don't tell me about it by this weekend it still counts! I am just wanting to make sure I have everything so far and that we are all on the same page! Happy crafting! ))

Brielle is thinking of sand-casting a piece of jewelry. A clasp for a cloak, perhaps, or boot buckles....?

No! It is not over lol It runs through the 21 st of May. I just plan on sending out point totals weekly. So I can make sure everyone's points get counted and none get forgotten. You still have a tad bit over a month to complete the items.

With all the set events and potential upcoming crafting events, the event calendar is REALLY coming in handy for planning and keeping track! Good idea to check it out. (Thank you again for creating LEAF :))

I sent out a tally of points to participant's forum pm box!

Don't forget these upcoming events! Even if it is not in your craft you still get 5 points!

Armoring in the Shieldwall Forge
Nature Inspired Hair Doodad

Remember there is still a month left for the challenge so plenty of time to start and finish a project. There is no deadline for starting a project!

We tried to tailor this so that all types of players could get a shot. The only part that it is required you do is the final item description. (20 points) Otherwise, there are many combinations that you can use to get your item.

For example:

Points Scenarios

Final item description 20 pts
Run two official events 2@ 20 pts = 40 pts
Attend three events 3@5pts = 15 pts
---------------------------------------------------------------
Total = 75 pts

Final item description 20 pts
rp out 5 scenes with a friend 5@ 10 pts = 50 pts (that's just one scene per week!)
Attend an event 5 pts
---------------------------------------------------------------
Total = 75 pts

Also a reminder, performing arts are more than welcome! Dance, juggling, acting, whatever you wish. If you are having trouble visualizing how that will work I would be more than happy to brainstorm with you!

Happy Crafting!

I have pmed points accumulated so far for week 2.

Let me know if anything was missed.

We already have people wrapping up their needed points! There are still three weeks left, still plenty of time to start!
