Guardians of the Grimoire Anniversary

Postby Hojo Musachi » Mon Feb 29, 2016 7:46 pm

Almost two years ago discussions began between two of the oldest guilds in Valorn, Twenty Two and the Alliance of Valornian Explorers. Their discussions were about a merging them both so their legacies may continue before they joined numerous guilds and became a thing of the past.

A year ago, our negotiation and paper work were approved by the Guild Inspector and Guardian's of the Grimoire's time had begun.

This year is our first year anniversary and due to the unique nature of our guilds creation, we intend to celebrate over three turns. This is to celebrate and bid farewell to our old halls and begin life in our new.

The first turn, will be a game of charades at Fleur's.
The second turn, a play written and performed by the Murder of Crows at the Alliance's amphitheatre
The third turn, our gala and the opening of our new hall in the plains.

We look forward to seeing you all there

Kind Regards

The Guardians of the Grimoire

Well that explains a lot.

Charades at Fleur's starts in two marcs.

We're having four categories for the charades: person, animal, object and place.
John stands bracing his hands on his hips, puts out his hand and skitters his other over it in a vaguely spider-like manner, then holds his hands out in front of himself parallel as it something were between them, and finally looks into the distance with a hand shading his eyes.

Person is any living thing or group of things with a name or title, for example Viscontessa Miranda, John Needles or Ferdinand the Bos;
Animal is a living (or undead) thing, for example Cute and Adorable Bunny or Human;
Object is any tool or object, for example Dagger or Life Monument;
Place is any location in Valorn, excluding those within guild-halls (the halls themselves are fine), for example Dundee Inn washrooms.

No sounds allowed *wags finger*

All welcome.

The Murder of Crows play is in one hour!

They are performing in the Alliance Amphitheatre, north west of the cracked monument at mountain retreat.

We will be three north and one east of Weslau, in the plains. If you're not there for the opening ceremony then we're just to the north the statue of High King Deek the powerful.

OOC Three events in three days? Madness!

On behalf of GOTG: Thank you to everyone who attended the charades, the play and the gala. We hope you enjoyed what you were able to take part in. I certainly had a lot of fun (I know!) from the events, and the other members of the guild did as well. So keep your eyes peeled for the next few festivals as we start to expand our halls.

Many Thanks

Hojo and the guardians

:lol: I had more of a Kajagoogoo vibe in mind,with just a hint of MWH thrown in. I honestly have no idea why, though!
