When people are banned

When a character that you know in game is banned, for whatever reason, it can be a shock to those who roleplay with them. This is especially true if that character had nothing but excellent interactions with you.

However, players have alts. They play different people. And they play differently with different people. You are not privy to every single one of their interactions under each of those characters.

Admin do not ban players lightly. It is not in our interests to strip the game of people who can roleplay. It should go without saying that a player is only banned after full investigation and in a vast number of cases, after several warnings and chances to stop whatever they were doing that would cause them to be banned. It should go without saying, but it seems that some people need this reminder.

Bans are permanent. They are not overturned when players, who can't understand why someone is banned, rise up in outrage against an Admin decision. This is not supportive of a game whose Admin team try extremely hard to protect the standards that most players do a wonderful job upholding, and keeping it a fun and safe place to play.
