COMCAST and some other emails

Postby Ben » Thu Dec 28, 2006 4:54 pm

This is a reminder that some email providers have decided over the years that we are a spam company rather than a real company.

For most, that means that messages from us might appear in your junk or spam mail folder. If you are expecting an email from us and you aren't getting it, check your junk mail to see if it ended up in there. If you then tell your provider that our emails are not junk, that won't happen again.

For COMCAST email users, things are a bit worse... our email never even gets to you because it is rejected outright as spam.

If you are a COMCAST subscriber, we would certainly appreciate it if you would write or call COMCAST and complain to them that their stupidly putting us on the block list has kept you from communicating with a company that you do legitimate business with. Us contacting them does very little, since they think we are evil. =) But if you complain and say that you are a Comcast customer and they are keeping you from being in contact with a company that you pay money and get a service from, they might listen.

BUT... until some of you contact Comcast, don't bother emailing us from a Comcast email because you will never get our response. Sadly, when people use the CONTACT INFO to get our email and then send us a question or comment from a Comcast email address, we have no choice but to just trash their message because we can't respond.

If you are a Comcast subscriber, PLEASE go to this web address and fill out this form on Comcast's website:

http://www.comcastsupport.com/sdcxuser/ ... ovider.asp

Fill out your own info for the first five lines, using your Comcast email in the email field.

For "Domain of Blocked IP:", enter http://www.darkgrimoire.com

For "I am the:", choose Comcast Subscriber

For "Blocked IP addresses:", just leave it blank

Under "Issue Description", type a short message explaining that you cannot RECEIVE any emails from http://www.darkgrimoire.com, a website of which you are a subscriber, and that you request that they unblock our server so you can get emails related to the service you pay for on the website.

SAMPLE (feel free to insert your own name and use):
My name is [NAME] and I am a paying subscriber to Comcast and to The Dark Grimoire, located at http://www.darkgrimoire.com. Due to an email block, I am unable to receive any emails from http://www.darkgrimoire.com sent to my Comcast address. Please unblock that server so I can receive emails from the services I pay for.

NOTE!!!!: Make sure to give them your Comcast email address so they know you are one of their customers.

Thanks! =)

They require you include an IP address apparently. The IP is:
69.56.178.122

BUT I just got an email from them saying we are no longer blocked, so I guess you can stop bugging them. Who knows if that is true or not. =) We shall see what happens.
