Possible server outtage 12:00am-6:00am CDT on Thursday 7th

A power issue in our datacenter is being worked on between 12:00am and 6:00am CDT on Thursday, October 7th. This will require DG to be brought down for 10-20 minutes. I am skeptical that the server will actually be up that fast though as it took 4 hours to bring up last time it was down.

server is partially back up, it will be slow for a while until I can check a few things out.

After the server downtime earlier today a few things that should be done automaticly have had to be brought up manually which tells me something funny may have happened while bringing the server up. This includes services such as the webserver, database server, and the auto run stuff like dawn had to be started up by me rather then during server start.

I am going to be restarting it to ensure everything comes up properly as a fresh boot, it should not be long today since we just restarted it this morning.

The server is currently re-intializing so it will be stuck for a while, but everything was sucessfully started this time and all is well as soon as the database spins back up to full speed.

really this time..... there were some issues the server found as it initialized the DB so I had to do a little more work.

As an upside, the things found during bootup may have optimized the database and sped things up a bit.
