March Preparation - Research

Postby Thorne » Mon May 09, 2016 9:21 pm

As you are likely aware, we are pursuing as many leads as possible to effect an entrance into the impregnable Dark Fortress of the Demon Lord. On ((Thursday, May 12, 8pm BST, 3pm EDT)) we will meet in the Milltown Temple and try to coordinate and consolidate the varied theories that are based on finding a hidden door rather than overcoming the physical obstruction of the Fortress wall.

Those theories are as follows (and thank you to those adventurers who brought them up in our meetings):

Finding the 'door' referred to by Azeraphel - Brielle Erawind
Opening and understanding the recently-discovered Arcane Tome for relevant entrances in the ancient city of Ryn - Korba & Brielle Erawind
Deciphering the Fortress wall's ancient symbols and pictograms for hidden entrance - Aryana Moonsong
Researching the use of The Sword of Valorn - Brielle Erawind
Comparing the markings on the Cenotaph - Zanaan & Zarock
Searching the gremlin hoard - Viviyana

It would be ideal if adventurers who have made facsimiles of various writings (Aryana Moonsong's of the Fortress wall, Synvasti Shymere's of the message at the top of the wall, Viviyana's of the Cenotaph) could attend with their materials or pass them or copies along to others who can attend. Equally, if Ayla Pearl could bring the Arcane Tome, that would be of great use. By gathering these together, we hope that a comparison of information may lead to an answer.

Lastly, we will also be extending invitations to some people who may have greater knowledge of Golden Age languages and obscure symbolism: Namely, Melchor the hermit (thank you, Topaz, for the suggestion) and Apprentice Mage Albertus.
