So many attacks, and just when we thought we had got them all we were under siege again! People scattering everywhere throughout Valorn. Then when we were all done we were told to meet in the Dundee inn, everyone did there was celebration then someone noticed that Phynix Dawn had gone missing from our mists. Everyone was frantic, then she began calling out for help to a few others that she knew where there to only be told that she had to face the Maze alone. She fought bravely and found her way back to us. Then talk turned to what happened someone spoke of not following the queens orders not long after we found ourselves speaking with a guard, who came to see what was going on. He talked with us a while and by the end of the evening had titled Lucius Flintlock as Forge master for all the hard work he had put in to restoring our forge. Attacks all over Milltown distract from the work at the gate yet Xanthias who helped with the making of the gate worked tirelessly to get it into place, a drumming can be heard, we wait and are watchful ... I prayed, I asked those around me to be courageous and I was not disappointed. Lavender even sang a song to bring moral up instead of the fear the demons where trying to instill. Battle coming from each side of Milltown the worst coming our way, the stars go dark the battle began, it is said the drumming was to create a portal, which unleashed a golden age demon upon us. Many died not even knowing what had killed them because of the darkness, I and many others worked tirelessly to bless or enchant everyone we could as we fought and fight we did! Those who died coming back from the LM as soon as we were released. The gates finally where in place thanks to Xanthias and Kenj and they were closed. Iron knight Hojo ordered us all back into the town while the doors where shut. The battle has ended! Many brave souls fought magnificently this day as best they could and we have won!

In a previous battle, I think the day everywhere was attacked at once, I am learning that the rogue tunnel under the Iron knight castle was damaged and needed to be braced so we are collecting huge logs today from the Milltown Mills, I myself watching, providing light and healing when needed. Raffe and Cody, Nih and many others moved logs from one area of the mill to another so they could be worked on. before taking them to the castle. I looked through rotten piles in each room trying to find good wood to use nearly got myself smooshed by a falling log trying to make sure people did not lose their footing with woodchips on the floor but I was alright. We moved the logs down to the river where they where to float to the castle. We moved them from the river over to the Iron Knights Castle to repair the damage to the Rogue tunnels there. It was slow but we made it to the castle safely. Work in the tunnels began will be many days before they are completed.

I hear work on the rogue tunnels are coming along; braces secured, but now there seems to be cracks forming in the wall threating all the hard work the rogues have done so far! I even heard there was heard by some passing rogues that a thudding noise came from the other side of the wall along with steam, though no one can positively say what it might be, all are weary.

The demons seem to wish to undermine our efforts once more as they attack several places at once, there are now scratches on the new gates of Milltown crossing out some of the names of people that helped put them in place.

Tediously tiring this adventure has become
Though it had started out as a bit of fun
Now invisible to mortal mind, I hope the cure we do find
Through trials we are tested now, to the end though I know not how
Annoyingly testing it has become, I just hope this can be undone
To be seemingly made of nothing substantial, to be seen again is essential!

Our Lot Lately

Raids on lands, and homes, and Caer
Demons fight without a care
As into our hearts they do tear
Some battles fought by foolish blind,
Not knowing what was sneaking on behind.

To battle every adventure lent a hand
And with brothers and sisters we did stand.
Fighting darkness and adversity
With light, and power, and courage see.

Fighting with weapons is all fine,
But there are times he attacked the mind
Pushing many adventures to the brink
Yet as a whole we did not sink
Beneath the crushing waves of doubt
We surely found our ways out.

Standing guard are most on now
Knowing not when or how
The battles will continue as we know
Weary and tired yet our courage shows

We of Valorn stand and fight
For we know what is right.
To hold the evil ones a bay
And hope for peace to come someday!

One day tales will be told about today
What is the part you will play?
With courage do you stand and fight
Or did you run and hide with fright?
Only time will tell of might,
And what happened in the night.

Lavenders song sung at the Alliance Summerfaire Tale Telling.

Bird in Blue

By the side of the river, the sweet grasses grow; on the banks of that river is a land that I know.
A land where a gentle breeze ever sweetly blows; a land where the tallest of evergreens grow.
If you stop by the water, near trees that touch the sky, the sweetest song in that land is heard on high.

There in that land a bird in blue does sing! Her tune, tis happy and cheerful all the day through,
She singing of life, love, and sorrow too… no one hears the same song as you.

Some days the song is soft and sweet… of love, family and friends you meet,
Others are long and sad you see, the bird in blue knows your hearts melody.

So everyone hears the song they need. To lift your spirits, or calm your mind… this sweet bird sings to you all the time.

So head to the river and you will hear the bird in blue, and you will find she’s singing for you.
If you are quiet and listen a while the tune she will sing will say inside.
So listen closely as you travel along your path. It is peace she gives to all that pass.

Made up literally on the spot... which seems to be when I do my best work. LOL At the Blade and Staffs beach party. ~ Lavender

Sweet Summerfaire!

“Shining brightly in the sky the sunrifter rises high”
Warms the ground and the grass, and make the waters sparkle as one goes by
The warmth and sun make streams seem like sparkling blues calling your feet to dance in the shallows along the shore. Or in the emerald grass lounge with the warm breeze blowing by.
Sweet Summer faire a time for love and laughter, sweet summer faire a time for joy and song!

Sweet the breeze blows warm on my cheek as I wander through the lands, sky so blue it can hurt the eyes no clouds to mar, and the nights are beautiful too as the blue turns to black and sparkling lights shimmer though the night, soft songs from creatures in the night.
Sweet Summer faire a time for love and laughter, sweet summer faire a time for joy and song

Family and friends, joining for gatherings again, among the sand, the inn or trees, to laugh, tell tales, and drink some ale. Spending our time in joyous delights, in sunrifter light or in the night. Swimming and singing, joking, dancing and enjoying simply being happy during this most joyous of times during Summer faire!
Sweet Summer faire a time for love and laughter, sweet summer faire a time for joy and song!
Sweet Summer faire a time for love and laughter, sweet summer faire a time for joy and song!

Sung today after the races by Lavender-

I hear tales of a man proud and strong, as any adventure is…
a king of men respected and devout was he…
Till power became his quest…a mage of sorts he became, seeking life for eternity
That life he found though we know not how, but madness now plagues his soul…
For when one is as endless as he seems to be can make one cold and mean…
Beauty and the joys of life become meaningless as fleeting they can be.

The times are tough, and quite rough,
The times brings forth fears, and loss, and tears.
There are still tales of warriors who were bold
They once faced the very evil that threatens us now
Stood their ground as the demons came down
And their tale deserves to be told!

They say men, tall as mountains once stood,
They helps us then taught us how to craft grand weapons and armor too
Wisest of the beings far, for longer than man had they been around
Masters of magic and metal were they, crafting things we would not believe!
Their fingerprints we see everywhere crafted with the gods they did,
Before the evil was made, they told the king not to try, for no one should be this way!
They were wise beyond the time for they had been around

And the evil of the time was brought down...before the golden age….

I mean, pretty please, may I hear more?

I wrote this quite a while back when I first started hearing tales of those in the mountain city of Altitan, we have met one the Liaison Sparrowflower, and she towers over us. So I still think tall as mountains works! This is NOT a true story, simply a song/story of my own minds wanderings when I first started hearing the tales. :)

Summer Faire song 2016 ~ Lavender

Bright rifter sailing across the sky, tis time for Summer Faire.
Sweetly the warm breeze blows through grass begging for you to come and play, without a care… tis time for summer faire.
Friends and fun what more can one ask, except perhaps not to burn amid the sunrifters daily glare… in this sweet Summer, Faire!
So grab an ale, and hear a tale, or take a glance at the expanse, of the starry sky!

Tis time for fun and perhaps some rum, as we run or dance along, since it is time for Summer Faire!
Laying around beneath the shade, or splashing fun in the lake… all is fun if you come and enjoy this Summer faire!

Games, food and drinks anew… from berries and dew warmed in the light taste sweet to eat as you lounge and dream of this bright Summer faire!

Poem written by me discribes my struggle with depression.

Asleep

A long slumber did I take, and away my mind did go down paths I did not know.
Lost myself in this snare, unable to tell those that care.
Though outstretched hands they tried to lead, I wandered away not taking heed.
Not knowing how to find myself, clung to the good memories I knew.
The happiest time in my life, made me smile and act real nice...
But then that smile became my fracade, the life I lived became a fraud...
Because trapped writhing inside my own mind, not knowing then those that tried...
To rescue me from my own hell, but were unable to reach my dwelling there...
They moved on to lives their own, that perhaps I should just be let alone.

Finally, from the deepest depths I did crawl, to be told just how far I did fall.
On a journey I'd never meant to make.
But now finally awake!
Waking to find what I lost, makes me wonder if waking was worth the cost?
Now a new path I must tread, to remember who I want to be, and see where this new life will lead me.
To precious memories I still cling, of life before I fell away. Wishing now that somehow I could have stayed.
But knowing that wish is useless anyway.
For even in the rifters light, the clouds stay a shade of gray, shadowing over my every day.
Still learning to live again after I fell, questioning if I can even tell...
If the path I wanted is still there... Thanks to that life of living hell.

~this is mostly RL but as it did affect all my girls. Tells their paths as well.

I have two songs I've shared. One was for a private audience, the second for the Crow Call.

Life's Pathways

I walked along life's pathways, never knowing which way to go
The path was long and winding, and I got lost along the way.
Some paths were hard and I stumbled, but never stopped and stayed.
Always hoping, somewhere along the way, I'd find home with someone who loved me, and there I'd spend my days."
Many came and traveled onward, along this path I've walked each day,
but none offered shelter, only temporary smiles to brighten and sometimes delay."
But one turn came to pass, a chance that changed the path..
You slid you hand in mine and guided me in the way.
Safer than ever, and happier each day.
Now the path may be still be rocky, and I may still have days I stumble,
but I fear them no more!
For I know you walk beside me and will lift me once again.
Finally, I look forward to what lays ahead, as never I have before.
For I know you walk beside me, and make my healed heart soar!

By Lavender

Missing You

Misty morning chilling abode
make me wish for warm arms to hold
Blazing light of noon days might,
finds me dreaming of you
Setting light before the night
brings desire of one so dear
Stunning stars blinking above
on each have I wished to see my love.
Anytime day or night
I long for the sound or sight
of one in slumber so deep..
Oh love my heart you keep.
