Zoryan's Ballad

Postby JCVilhena » Sun May 17, 2009 12:09 am

Due to one or two (alright, one and half!) requests, here it goes a transcription of Zoryan's premium balad at the New Era's contest of story telling. (You can see the original post here: http://forums.darkgrimoire.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=9816)

In the world of Trinald under the sun
Three islands have risen from the sea
All with their own charm, but there's one
That's especially dear to me
Across this land I've laughed and cried
I've lived my errant life since I was born
Land of my ancestors, my pride
Oh land of mine, oh land of Valorn!

Land of dreams, when did the nightmare begun?
Golden Age finished, Balthazar runs free
Demons roam smiling, tormenting father and son
Both men and beasts are set to flee
Brave adventurers oppose the dark side
Ready to answer the call of the battlehorn
Ben's Mercy, will avenge all those who've died
Oh land of mine, oh land of Valorn!

From coast to coast, our word is one
For all before us and all yet to be
No demon lord or minion, none!
Will spill innocent blood, we guarantee!
Young and old with fiery heart inside
with word, dagger and staff we fight as we have sworn
Guard your towns and people, glory shall not be denied
oh land of mine, of land of Valorn!

*stands up and cheers, stomps, whistles, pounds on shield*

I'm sorry I missed that.

I have to say I'm very glad with the reaction of you all! This was something I had started a while ago and had put aside and I had to finish it in a hurry while the contest was going on so I'm very happy people enjoyed it! :D

It's beautiful *claps* and very inspiring. and I'm not saying it just to say so *grins*. Eventhough I have heard it during storytelling it still holds the same magic as the first time *smiles*
