A Sonnet in Azure

[Fleur]

She claims no light, no spells enchanted gleam,
But stands between the shadows' creeping black
And those who fear the darkness' twisted dream,
Protecting those who strength or courage lack.
Her garments, ears and tail are shaded blue -
In cobalt, navy, sapphire, indigo -
Those colors some perceive as downcast hue
For her are never colors showing woe.
A warrior of contradictions so;
Can lead a guild but bow to royal will,
While moving fast for those in need shall slow,
Impassioned heart that cold can evil kill.
Inspiring is this well-liked Iron Knight,
And inspiration is our guiding light.
