A song for war

I wrote this some time ago (OOC: 2013!), but I hear that some people have been wanting to sing it again.


Out of many, one.
Thus speaks the famous saying;
for wonders can be done
when all, the gods obeying,

stand like a wall and shield
against the fiercest foe;
then honor is revealed
and loyalty will show.

When evil from without
or trouble from within
bid fair to cause a rout
and let the darkness win,

then we together band
in one united throng;
the strong reach out their hand
to save the weak from wrong.

Then gathers friend with friend
to aid each other's need,
from danger to defend,
their calls for help to heed.

Not all is won by might
or gained by hero's blade;
when Valorn's hearts unite,
thus victories are made.

Together now we stand
defeated still by none,
defenders of the land,
and out of many, one.
