It was a late turn just like any other, usually, he was in the library reading up on different topics that caught his interest or, perhaps, a refresher on a topic quite familiar to him. This turn, however, was going to end rather different from any previous turn. About halfway through the book he looked up, his attention rapt on the western door. He had heard something, he was sure of it. That should be impossible… In all his cycles leading the Remnants, and even cycles before that when he was still just a member, that door had never been open to anyone.
He got up from his seat and deposited the book on the table beside him. One hand grasped the candle-holder tight as he proceeded towards the door. Seasons upon seasons of walking the halls led his eyes to the bottom of the door. It was slightly ajar. A soft, faint squeak could be heard again, louder this time. It left him perplexed, as didn't recall Purazon giving him the keys to these doors. Surely, he had been awake too long. With a shake of his head and with that thought in mind, he wandered towards the south and used the candle to guide him back to his quarters for the night.
The following morning, he got up and with 'Rifter light he wandered back to the library to light the candles within the room and examine the western door. His eyes had not played tricks on him, the door was, in fact, ajar. He looked down at his key-ring mentally naming off the keys in his head only to come up one short. All other doors had their key accounted for except this door.
(As he finds out more I will update and post more to this. Currently working on some surprises and a possible contest to go along with this.)
