*tears her eyes from where Pallas was with trepidation, shook up from losing friends, she still tries to move on and curtsies to the new queen*

"Greetings, Lavender," says Topaz. "I hope that you, and others, will come to me with counsel on how best to deal with the situation in our land. Of course such counsel can be either public or private."

"Of course my queen." Stands from her curtsy and wanders off to mourn

"People of Fol!" says Queen Topaz. "I request and require your observations and suggestions concerning the current demon crisis. Please submit your votes as to who in our land might be a demon in disguise."

She places a helmet next to her throne, upside down, to receive the votes.

Narrator wrote:Another Riftershine sees another vote called from the denizens of Fol.
How will the Folish Queen Shieldheart decide? Will the voices be heard or will they show where their loyalties truly hide?
All eyes are on the helm that may hold the fate of one among them; or perhaps their fate is only known to the mind of the Queen.
The marcs draw out longer as Riftershine comes ever closer to an end and the now sleeping Demon Eyes await the rampaging of the demons in disguise.

Topaz lights a candle.

Taking each note out of the helmet, she reads it and then sets it alight with the candle, until on the floor near the helmet there is a little heap of parchment ashes.

She turns to the populace.

"As your Queen it is my duty to think of the good of the land, even when it may bring me sorrow. Therefore I am issuing a decree of banishment upon Lavender Morgan, who is widely suspected of being a demon and whose presence is causing unrest in the land. Let it be known that I, personally, do not wish to do this."

Perhaps a ruler that listens to their Denizens is most wise - or perhaps the demons outnumber the ordinary folk.
Only the turns will tell how truly Folish this banishment was.

The closing marcs of Riftershine grow shorter as Demon Eyes is on the verge of rising.

looks completely shocked, the color draining from her face, she then turns red with anger and mutters as she is dragged away"I hope the demons get all you, you imbeciles!" and that is the last that was heard of fair, usually sweet-tempered Lavender Morgan

*standing within the populace his eyes widened hearing the decree of banishment, blinking in suprise hishead shook as eyes narrowed slightly in suspision looking around at the gathered people, curious as to what lead to such a degree of the townsfolks, pulling some of his hair from his face he turned and slipped into the crowd pondering the fate of a dear friend banished*

What unlucky denizen fell victim this turn? Only the Ruler, Queen Topaz Shieldheart, is safe in her keeping during this foreboding auspice.

Falx allows himself a smile upon hearing Lavender cursing as shes is dragged out of Fol. The rise of the demon eyes would certainly herald a safer night now.

Noddig and turning around to retire to his abode Falx feels a sense of foreboding -- with good reason, as his fingers, followed by his hands and arms, disintegrate into small particles of dust. The effect spreads across the whole of his body.

The last thing seen of him is his head, with a look of horror in his staring eyes. His mouth seemingly attempts to utter final words of caution, but without vocal chords no sound comes out...

Sunrifter rises to being another Riftershine across the land of Fol.

Vicegerent Raffe arises with Riftershine once more to see the demise that the previous Curse of Demon Eyes has brought to the Denizens. He mourns only briefly before announcing the new ruler of the Kingdom of Fol.
“Hear ye, good denizens of Fol! Your ruler this turn is King Cody Fireblade, the Nearly as brave and strong and handsome as...” pauses and clears his throat as he rubs a hand over his own chest to smooth unseen wrinkles,”Ahh... King Cody Purplefoot! Most Folish may his reign be!”

Topaz bows deeply to King Cody. Then she steps closer in order to ask discreetly, "Purplefoot?"
