Decided to write some fun, folky songs, so here is my first, as fabulous as I.
Oh once there was a maiden as pretty as can be,
Saw her down by the Fartown sea,
Hair of gold, body slender as a tree.
Oh ever could she be the death of me.
Oh dawdle, diddly dee,
One small look and she hynotized me
The way she moved could make me smile
The gleam of her eyes my heart did rile
but I stood dumbstruck for all the while,
dreaming of the day we'd walk the aisle
oh dawdle, diddly dee,
A second look and she dumbfounded me
She came to me and in a whisper said
Give me your coin or you're better off dead
Finally came to my senses and shook my head
So she threw a rock and I saw red
Oh dawdle, diddly dee,
On the third look she stole it all from me
Eventually on the beach I woke
Trudged in to town in my skivvies and broke
Was helped along by some rather nice folk
And found that I had become quite the joke
Oh dawdle, diddly dee,
Never again will any see me
