"Straight from the horse's mouth" would be okay though. See the stables in Aldwythe's Landing.

In 2004 I wrote the following, and I have quoted it at least once before this. [Y]our character should have a personality before a profession. Be the character first. If the character intends to pursue a profession, portray it, but do not stunt the growth of the role. To cite an excellent example fr...

I believe the original intent of the Lord Cory's Social Hall forum was to give a place for fiction AND for forum RPs. You can find both in that forum, but it has been a long time since any of the RP threads was active. (The "Cerbie's Grill" thread fell inactive in January, 2006. Others wen...

The 10-Minute Activity on Mentors list

While I reviewed material a few minutes ago, it occurred to me that I had failed to rave about this change Ben made in February. It doesn't look like much. It's a simple change. It's nothing that experienced players even get to see. But I think it was a significant change for the good. In January, I...

Success of Controls on Improper Behavior in Chat

I am astounded at how few behavior issues crop up in DG's chat now, compared to when I started three years ago. I attribute that to: four years' refinement of the game rules, three years of the moderator system providing constant negative reinforcement to improper behaviors, instructional scrolls an...

Just 500 plat per lot. I recommend at least 20 lots. The more you buy, the more profit potential!

Azure, actually i saw faithless walk through Dundee, and she posted a little bit earlier. If you believed that one, Sepheroth, I want to pitch you the idea on an exciting opportunity: Duberry Estates! Where dreams can grow tall and wide. Acres and acres of prime real estate looking for development....

I want to highlight Sashtan's post above this one. I'll add boldface to it. i actually realised that nobody knew what sash looked like after reviewing mine as i never really looked at it closely before I hope players will continue to recognize that omission in their profiles, and that new players wi...

For that matter, it's not as if it's a spoiler to mention Ethucan. Characters visited Ethucan a year and a half ago during the brief period it was open. Now again, it's open. Wyf wrote about that fact in Tales, and the doorway is activated often with an accompanying broadcast message.

It wasn't used as a verb. You just didn't get it, Corwin. But maybe that's because it wasn't someone falling out of a chair or tripping for no reason.

The answer I gave above is probably true, but I just remembered time. It wasn't a reward though; it was payment that Mylor (my first character in DG) required of the other character. A new character named Aldo Frogass entered Dundee Inn and asked if someone could open the sewer grate. Mylor told him...

My intent was to praise the guild halls I thought were the best models. They show restraint in design, creativity in concepts, style, and execution. I don't want to sully the rave with critiques of all guild halls. For those interested in my personal expectations of guild halls, see the opening para...

Guild Halls That Contribute to the Setting

In game descriptions of public guild hall areas are the most direct contribution to the game that guilds can make. New players can travel to all but a few guild halls while still first level, and I think that when they read those descriptions, they consider the information equal to any other area de...

Thumbs up on this piece of music.

I'm sure I'll listen to it again and thereby make additional connections between the themes so that I can appreciate even more the composition.

Alphabetical order makes it so much easier to recognize what is on the list. I didn't expect the change to be so significant. Thank you.
