Re: 20 in 20 #15

Since a certain flower-loving acquaintance has asked, I add: Saint Olbia (Jan. 5 or July 21, Devora Jane) called the Rash: a healer who practiced seeing the world as the Gods see it, as filled with breakable humans; she did so well at this, and at dealing with this as Jane would that she often forgo...

Re: 20 in 20 #15

"Saints are humans so open to the influence of one of the Gods that the God can turn the color stream they represent into the human subject. They surrender their private will to the God; when suffused by the Divine, they see almost as the Gods see; their presence is marked by miracles and wonde...

Re: 20 in 20 #14

Technically, we can cast enchantments and blessings on items on the ground, including fixed items. Few or none of them work. I have two suggestions, both blessings for fixed items: Bless Room: Comes in gold, red, and blue versions. Each prohibits an evil being below a certain level from entering or ...

Re: IO discussion meeting

I hear it was suggested that the merchants are raising prices to survive. This is, of course, possible, but it leads some rather odd places. Jeffrey has been buying cheap and selling dear since I've been in Valorn, and years before. He's been flourishing like a green bay tree. And all this while pay...

Re: A Merchant Invitation

I think this an excellent idea, and would like to be added as one of the people to talk to. Especially by Beatrice, who I remember since summers spent in Laledan. A boycott will be broken. I need potions, and eventually armor, and I will buy them if I possibly can; I need them to defend Valorn. But ...

Re: Belated Kailani Day

Well, this is what I did last year. I'll see if I can do better by March's end. But this is what I can offer for this party. Kailani is. In dark places She shines purple, and clears the air. She dares Trinald, to meet challenge, To fight our foes, to serve the arts. She descended, from Sunrifter To ...

Broken Pillar: The Broken Pillar in the Tall Grasslands, west of the river, is a life monument, with a village around it. (Anyone, adventurer or not, can try to tie to the monument, but some people will fail to tie, and some who do tie will not return if they die violently.) The village was settled ...

When I had an unfortunate encounter with a Giant Fox, resulting in my fox cape, we found later that there was a fox kit, orphaned. I took him in, fed him milk and bread and ground meat, and called him Telopex, as a member of the much-tried Telides. He snuggles with me, and takes food from my hands, ...

Tours and guards available

With the assistance of a few of my friends, I can, I think, offer tours and guards that will get anyone to several destinations normally out of their range. Trips will take a short time to set up, will involve some risk to my friends, and will cost many of them potions. But we will try. If intereste...

Kailani is. In dark places She shines purple, and clears the air. She dares Trinald, to meet challenge, To fight our foes, to serve the arts. She descended, from Sunrifter To middle lands, to curb evil; Unlawful tongues and wild rogues She puts in awe, and demons checks. Impious to compare Greatness...

Re: Garden of the Gods - Statue Carving

I like the abstract effect: Therefore two statues, pillars, shaped just enough to wear their symbols. For Zeric, blue-tinged dark marble, wearing armor, with boot-tips and gauntlets. His Rock is the darkest chunk of the same marble, and his spear leans against the state. For Miranda. light marble un...

I am feeling that the 30th will be a little tight.

I've done one course, but may need to do two more.

Crafter's Challenge: Poetry.

Tonight, Thursday. Worldbuilder's Lawn. 8 PM, Eastern time.

Formal verse, in whatever style the audience likes. Poetry is dancing in speech; if you can dance, you can do this; if you can't dance, try anyway.

I'm planning others as well.
