Not refusing the certainly lovely conversation over commas. In this case, though, I was more pointing out the inconsistency between areas.

I think this is more of a missing word than spelling error but see below in the endless desert :
Wind whips across your face, scarring it with sand. It is so hot here that it is an effort just to breathe. You can see a range of mountains in the distance to the west. To your east, there is some sort of ancient structure. It looks like the entrance might around on the north side. Every other direction looks the same... sand, sand... and more sand. There is sand in your hair, sand in your pants, and sand in the protective oil on your weapon.

I think the word "be" belongs in between might and around.
