Pass it along event

I have had so much fun in the past week participating in events, I decided I want to hold a monthly event..
I have spent some time trying to figure out a fun game we can all play, and finally came up with a game I call "pass it along"


Here's how it works

I will give each player the following items

1. popped corn
2. a turkey leg
3. a Dundee burger
4. a small cup of ale

each item has a numeric value assigned to it


1. popped corn (worth 2 points)
2. a turkey leg (worth 4 points)
3. a Dundee burger (worth 6 points)
4. a small cup of ale (worth 8 points)

Each person will take a turn giving one of your items to a fellow player.. we will do this Four times and I will call out your name an instruct you to pass one on to the person I see next to you (you must pass it to who I instruct so that everyone winds up with four items in the end).. when I see "playerA has handed something to playerB" I will call out another name in the chat field and so on until each person has had a chance to pass an item four times

after four turns the player with the highest points wins..

Here's the catch

two of a kind is equal to 2X the total value (ex. two popped corns worth 2 points each (2+2)X2=8 or 4X2=8)
three of a kind is 3X the total value (ex. 3 Dundee Burgers worth 6 points each (6+6+6)X3=54 or 18X3=54)
four of a kind is worth 4X the total value (ex. four turkey legs worth 4 points each (4+4+4+4)X4=64 or 16X4=64)

so you might want to put some strategy into what you pass..
you might have 2 cups of ale and 2 burgers which would be a total of 54 points..
but a another person with 4 turkey legs is going to beat you..
so don't be to hasty to pass off your lower valued items first

I will have to verify by having you pass me back the items a player at a time.. so please allow me time to calculate your scores

oh and one more thing..
Use the honor system here folks.. no cheating and bringing in your own stuff.. come with an empty pack
this could be a lot of fun.. but cheating would ruin it

The first event will be December 1st (time to be announced) and the 1st of each month there after..(times of the day will very)
Tentatively the prize will be 1000 plat (I'm kinda broke right now) but should I find a goodie like a treasure box I will up the anti


I hope the game play rules made sense. If your interested and think this could be fun.. let me know so I'll have an idea of how many items I need to bring.
