Advertising DG on other forums...

If we want to advertise for DG on other forums,

1. Are we allowed to use any of these in our signature? Made by Cerberus, Deek and Olorin in the past.

2. Will any of them do, or is there one of them that has been decided to use.

well i'd love to advertise DG but how could someone with their own "game" or "Forum" advertise on here in return for advertising DG???

As far as the rules go there is a long standing rule about not advertising other games on the DG forum as far as I am aware. Such acts have in the past resulted in either the post being deleted, the advertiser having their forum (not game) account banned or both.

In regards to what sounds essentially like a link exchange, the only people that can agree to that are admin themselves so any such query should be directed towards them as noone can speak for them. Until the point where admin has publically Ok'd advertising other games all posts pertaining to such will be deleted.

Concerning the original post. Purazon, if other forums are ok with signitures advertising games then I'd say go for it, again I cannot speak for admin but as long as the rules of other forums are followed there can't be any harm.

This is something I've been thinking about recently, actually. I'll probably post something about it in a little while when I've thought about it a bit more. If I haven't by next week, remind me - I'm trying to do a lot of other DG things at the moment and it may well slip my mind. But do it politely, as the lightning is never more than a breath away.
